Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking an OR Registered Nurse for the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary. You will provide intraoperative nursing care in scrub and circulating roles, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists and staff to ensure safe patient outcomes.

Requirements include CRNA registration eligibility, BCLS-HCP certification, and completion of perioperative nursing training or equivalent OR experience.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
• Completion of the perioperative nursing course is required. Equivalent OR experience will be considered.
• Previous experience in a level one trauma center Operating Room.

Responsibilities

• Provide intraoperative nursing care in scrub and circulating roles.
• Lead patient advocacy and ensure safe, effective, and efficient care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support surgical outcomes.
