Carbide Cell - CNC Machine Operator (PA2) - 5th shift

Welcome to Bosch. The Lincolnton, NC Conversion, Customizing and Packaging Center is located approximately 30 miles from Charlotte. The facility employs just under 500 full-time associates in a 5-shift operation, which encompasses 235,000 sq ft. along with 12,000 SKUs. In addition to the conversion, customizing and packaging activities, abrasives are now a big part of our power tool accessory business. ISO certified, our associates engage in BPS, CIP and 5S. This position will be responsible for operating Carbide Cells. Responsibilities include loading and unloading the machine, ensuring correct order fulfillment, making machine parameter adjustments, identifying and assessing machine problems, and maintaining product quality standards. The role requires frequent mobility around different sections of the machine and an understanding of mechanics and machine components. General computer knowledge and the ability to learn new software are essential. As a Carbide Cell Operator, maintaining a positive work environment, keeping the area clean and orderly, and following safety procedures are expected.

Additional Abilities

  • Setup machine using basic hand tools and measuring devices.
  • Transfer and load files.
  • Clean blades and load feed magazine.
  • Clean and maintain the machine.
  • Identify and assess common machine problems.
  • Understand proper product flow on the machine.
  • Read and follow standard operating procedures for Carbide Cells.
  • Follow procedures for machine cleanliness and tool organization.
  • Read and fulfill correct orders.
  • Inspect products for quality standards.
  • Understand root causes of quality issues.
  • Determine necessary adjustments to maintain product tolerances.
  • Stand and be mobile for 8 hours.
  • Proper hand dexterity.
  • Read and follow instructions and orders.
  • Possess a high understanding of machines and components.
  • Navigate computer software effectively.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Apply math skills relevant to machining.
  • Read product prints and verify product matches.
  • Proficient in measuring devices like Dial Indicators and Calipers.
  • Use hand tools safely and correctly.
  • Hold an accredited HS Diploma or GED.
