Job summary

Autism Services in Estevan, Saskatchewan, is seeking a reliable, mechanically inclined maintenance technician to oversee the day-to-day operation of our car wash. This hands-on role requires problem solving and ownership of tasks from start to finish.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, preventative upkeep, staff support, and inventory control. Some evenings or weekends may be required; compensation ranges from $50,000 to $60,000 CAD depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to lead and train others.
• Experience with maintenance or repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, or water systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools; able to work independently and prioritize multiple issues.

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and coordinate outside technicians when required.
• Follow a scheduled preventative maintenance program daily, weekly, monthly.

• Schedule and manage deposits, customer accounts, and daily financial tasks.
• Monitor and order store inventory items and maintenance parts as needed.
• Recommend repairs or equipment improvements when appropriate.

$50,000 - $60,000 depending on experience

We are looking for a reliable, mechanically inclined, and organized individual to take responsibility for the maintenance, and day-to-day operational support of our car wash. This is a hands-on position requiring someone who can identify problems, find solutions, and take ownership from start to finish. Some evening, weekend, or after-hours availability may occasionally be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair car wash equipment and systems including maintaining pumps, compressors, hoses, valves, vacuums, automatic doors, payment systems, and related equipment.

Respond to equipment breakdowns and coordinate outside technicians when required.

Preventative Maintenance

Follow and maintain a scheduled preventative maintenance program, regularly inspect equipment and identify potential problems before failures occur. Daily, weekly, monthly.

Management & Operations

Help oversee the day-to-day operation of the car wash including training, assisting employees and customers. Scheduling, customer account maintenance, preparing/taking weekly deposits to the bank.

Inventory & Cost Control

Monitor and order store inventory items as required.

Monitor and order maintenance parts, tools, chemicals, recommend repairs, improvements, or equipment when appropriate.

General Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, or water systems is an asset, comfortable using hand and power tools, ability to work independently and prioritize multiple issues.

Must be English speaking, paid training provided, valid driver's licence required.
