Job summary

CSN Collision is seeking a Detailer to thoroughly clean and present repaired vehicles, while supporting shop operations and daily facility tasks. You will detail interiors, wash and polish exteriors, and ensure vehicles meet CSN quality standards before delivery.

The role supports general shop duties, moves vehicles between locations, and assists with basic maintenance. A valid G license, attention to detail, and reliability are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Valid G driver's licence with a clean driving record.
  • Previous detailing or automotive experience is an asset.
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Wash, clean, polish, and detail customer vehicles following repairs.
  • Vacuum and shampoo vehicle interiors as required.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, wheels, tires, and trim.
  • Remove dust, polishing compound, overspray, and debris from repaired vehicles.
  • Inspect completed vehicles to ensure CSN quality standards before delivery.
  • Maintain detailing supplies and equipment in good working condition.
  • Notify management of any damage or concerns identified during detailing.
  • Drive customer vehicles safely between locations when required.
  • Transport vehicles to and from sublet vendors, dealerships, or suppliers.
  • Provide customer shuttle service as needed.
  • Assist with vehicle movement within the shop to support workflow.

Summary

The Detailer is responsible for ensuring repaired vehicles are thoroughly cleaned, detailed, and presented to the highest standards prior to customer delivery. In addition to vehicle detailing, this role supports the overall cleanliness, maintenance, and daily operations of the collision centre by performing general shop support duties, facility maintenance, customer transportation, and vehicle movement. The Detailer plays an important role in maintaining a safe, organized, and professional environment while contributing to an outstanding customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Detailing
  • Wash, clean, polish, and detail customer vehicles following repairs.
  • Vacuum and shampoo vehicle interiors as required.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, wheels, tires, and trim.
  • Remove dust, polishing compound, overspray, and debris from repaired vehicles.
  • Inspect completed vehicles to ensure they meet CSN quality standards before delivery.
  • Maintain detailing supplies and equipment in good working condition.
  • Notify management of any damage or concerns identified during the detailing process.
Shop Operations & Facility Support
  • Sweep and maintain shop floors throughout the day.
  • Empty garbage and recycling bins.
  • Clean washrooms, lunchroom, and common areas.
  • Assist with booth maintenance and general shop housekeeping.
  • Perform basic building maintenance and minor repairs as required.
  • Maintain the exterior of the facility, including grass cutting, snow removal, and keeping entrances clean and safe.
  • Assist with organizing shop equipment and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Ensure all work areas comply with health and safety standards.
Vehicle & Customer Support
  • Drive customer vehicles safely between locations when required.
  • Transport vehicles to and from sublet vendors, dealerships, or suppliers.
  • Provide customer shuttle service as needed.
  • Assist with vehicle movement within the shop to support workflow.
  • Conduct basic vehicle inspections before and after transportation.
  • Report any vehicle damage or mechanical concerns immediately.
General Support
  • Assist technicians and production staff with miscellaneous shop tasks.
  • Support inventory organization and shop supplies as needed.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the General Manager or Production Manager.
  • Valid G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
  • Previous detailing or automotive experience is considered an asset.
  • Ability to safely operate manual transmission vehicles is considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
  • Manual dexterity to operate detailing equipment and cleaning tools.
Working Conditions
  • Collision repair shop environment.
