Job summary

Summit Air in Canada is seeking an Avro RJ Captain to lead safe, efficient operation as PIC across Northern Canada, with a strong focus on customer service. You will operate Avro RJ aircraft and perform pre/post-flight duties while maintaining safety as the top priority.

The ideal candidate holds a Canadian ATPL, 4000 hours total time, 2500 MPIC (5700 kg+), and jet time. Willingness to travel to the US and Europe and eligibility for RAIC are required; Arctic experience and glass cockpit

Qualifications

• Current Canadian ATPL required.
• 4000 hours total time.
• 2500 MPIC ( >5700 kg).
• 500 hours on a Jet aircraft is an asset.
• High Arctic experience an asset.
• Glass cockpit experience an asset.
• Passport with ability to travel to the United States and Europe.
• Ability to obtain Canadian RAIC.
• Strong commitment to safety culture.
• Pre-employment drug & alcohol testing completed.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

As an Avro RJ Captain with Summit Air, you are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft with a passion for customer service and prioritizing safety for our clients. Summit Air, headquartered in Yellowknife, NWT, operates across Canada, specializing in passenger charters, cargo transport, and customized flight solutions for industry-leading clients with a legacy of excellence in northern and remote aviation. We’re growing our fleet in the Quebec area and are seeking experienced RJ Captains. As we expand our fleet in Quebec and enter new markets to support our growing client base, we are seeking local, skilled RJ Pilots to join our team in Montreal. Essential Responsibilities

• Operate Avro RJ aircraft safely and efficiently throughout Northern Canada as PIC in accordance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Stay current with all available flight information, including weather, and applicable NOTAMs where available, and verify type A flight plans for accuracy
• Participate in the aircraft pre-flight inspection, as well as all post-flight duties

Qualifications

• Current Canadian ATPL

• 500 hours on a Jet aircraft an asset
• High Arctic experience an asset
• Glass cockpit experience an asset
