The Regional Vice President, Private Wealth plays a key role in Trez Capital's Private Wealth capital raising efforts. Reporting to and working directly with the Vice President, Private Wealth & Strategic Partners, to identify, build, develop and strengthen relationships within the private wealth capital raising channel. This includes working with Wealth Management firms (PM-registered), Multi-Family Offices, Fund-of-Funds, PW focused RIAs, and other direct client or intermediaries outside the traditional Retail or Institutional segments. The Regional Vice President will be a client-facing external capital raising role with a strong focus on proactive regional prospecting, while also contributing to the maintenance and expansion of existing investor relationships.
Primary Accountabilities :
- Collaborate with management to execute annual and quarterly territory business plans, with a focus on a team-based approach to the development and strengthening of long-term relationships with Private Wealth middle market intermediaries and clients.
- Proactively identify and engage key opportunities in Canada to promote the Trez Capital Brand and group of funds.
- Utilize a consultative, question-based selling approach to understand client objectives and align solutions accordingly.
- Book meetings with potential clients and partners interested in incorporating Trez products into their portfolios.
- Initiate and follow up on sales calls in a timely manner, identifying new sales opportunities and responding to enquiries about Trez products.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Trez funds, market trends and investor behaviour and trends.
- Conduct both in person and virtual meetings with clients and prospects as required.
- Provide sales coverage and support for the VP, Private Wealth during vacation or other absences.
- Maintain accurate activity records and client information in salesforce.com.
- Meet or exceed annual activity productivity targets in the areas of proactive calls, Know Your Advisor information and meetings booked, as established by the Head of Capital Raising and the Managing Director, National Retail Sales.

Qualifications and Experience :
- College or university degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of sales experience in investment management industry is required
- Experience in conducting in person meetings
- Proven methodology in territory and segmentation strategies
- Strong understanding of Alternatives and Real Estate
- Completion of CAIA, CFA, and MBA are assets.
