Job summary

City of St. Albert is recruiting a Project Manager in the Engineering department to oversee capital projects from initiation to completion.

You will coordinate consultants and contractors, review designs, manage budgets, and ensure quality and compliance across infrastructure and facility improvements. The role requires a professional engineer or technologist with significant project delivery experience, strong stakeholder communication, and a track record of safe, on-schedule execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years of related experience, or 2-year diploma with 7+ years of related experience.
• Eligibility for professional registrations (APEGA/ASET/PMI) is required; PMP or CAPM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of capital projects from planning through completion, including procurement, design review, and construction administration.
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to define objectives and manage expectations.
• Identify and mitigate risks with proactive solutions to keep initiatives on track.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and status reports for leadership.
