Job summary

Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District (ACRD) is seeking a Capital Projects Manager to lead capital infrastructure initiatives on Vancouver Island, including Port Alberni, Tofino and Ucluelet. The CPM reports to the CFO and ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while aligning with strategic priorities.

The role requires leadership in project management, procurement, and contract administration, with a focus on stakeholder engagement and asset management support.

Capital Projects Manager

(Full-time Exempt Position) The Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District (ACRD) is seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as the Capital Projects Manager. The ACRD is situated in the heart of Vancouver Island. It includes the municipalities of Port Alberni, Tofino, and Ucluelet, four Treaty Nations and six electoral areas, all-encompassing the West Coast’s most dramatic and majestic landscapes.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Capital Projects Manager (CPM) is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of capital infrastructure projects across the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District (ACRD). The CPM oversees the delivery of capital projects in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and regulatory requirements. This position plays a key role in ensuring that capital projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations and standards and is actively fostering collaborative relationships across the organization. The CPM provides leadership in project management, procurement, contract administration, and stakeholder engagement, while supporting the CFO in long-term capital planning and asset management initiatives.
