Founded in 2013, ASG is an innovative team within the Payments division of CIBC Capital Markets, focused on developing technology-driven solutions across foreign exchange, payments, and money movement. We combine the entrepreneurial mindset and agility of a FinTech with the scale, expertise , and governance of a leading global financial institution.
You will be part of a team focused on developing market-lea ding foreign exchange and cross-border payment solutions that help clients move money globally, efficiently, and securely. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will support product development, business strategy, and client engagement initiatives across a diverse client base, including financial institutions, corporations, public sector organizations, and CIBC's retail banking network.
You will be placed in either the Sales & Distribution team or the Product team, based on business needs and your skills and interests. In Sales , you will focus on new cli ent acquisiti on , market analysis, and business grow th . In Product, you will focus on product development, performance analysis, project execution, and improving ASG's product capabilities.
Throughout your term, you will work closely with stakeholders across Capital Markets, Payments, Technology, and Operations, while contributing to meaningful projects that support ASG's strategic growth objectives .

The expected annualized base salary for this role is $ 100 ,000
The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. You are enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Economics, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) or related program at the time of the internship, with a graduation date no earlier than August 2027.
Candidates with a technical undergraduate degree (e.g., Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) are highly valued, as well as those with strong analytical skills and relevant experience from non-STEM backgrounds.
