Job Title Senior Azure EngineerLocation Vancouver - hybridJob Description Capgemini Canada is seeking a Senior Data Engineer and aspiring or proficient Azure Data Architect to drive the design, development, and deployment of innovative Data. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the vital link between business needs and technological solutions, leveraging diverse emerging solutions to deliver transformative outcomes. You will be expected to lead, both from a technical and from a functional perspective. It is an ideal fit for someone who thrives at helping solve complex data problems..Key Responsibilities

  • Design and hands-on implement end-to-end data pipelines, including data modeling, data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading (ETL/ELT).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams to ensure the alignment of data strategies with business objectives.
  • Maintain data integrity and quality by implementing rigorous validation and reconciliation frameworks.
  • Design advanced analytics and reporting solutions aligned with business goals and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with DevOps team on the CICD deployment of the DDL and DML code bases across multiple environments.
  • Provide expertise and thought leadership in data architecture, engineering and analytics during RFP response preparation.
  • Partner with business development & sales teams to create tailored solutions that address the complex needs of enterprise clients across various industries.
  • Support pre-sales workshops by defining solution architectures, presenting technical concepts, and addressing client queries.
  • Develop reusable templates and frameworks to streamline RFP response processes for data migration and analytics.

Required Skills

  • At least 6 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 5 years focused on azure data services.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Azure Databricks.
  • Experienced and proficient in SQL, PySpark, Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric is a bonus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
