Job description

Type of position: Regular

Your future role on our team

By joining our Structural Engineering team, you’ll work with multidisciplinary teams on various projects, carrying out consulting engineering tasks such as design studies and both preliminary and detailed engineering.

You’ll help us prepare engineering documents to design structures for projects in sectors like industrial, mining and metallurgy, energy, petrochemical, environmental, and sustainable development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing concrete and steel foundations and structures
  • Coordinating design activities with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, etc.)
  • Preparing estimates, technical specifications, and reports
  • Assisting with quality control of technicians and drafters’ work
  • Helping prepare estimates, schedules, and budgets
  • Planning, organizing, and assessing work
  • Monitoring site work as required
  • Assisting with site inspections and surveys
  • Performing technical functions to support project delivery
  • Maintaining close relationships with clients or their representatives
  • Applying health and safety policies and taking necessary measures to ensure safety

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent experience
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
  • Knowledge of structural analysis software
  • Availability to travel occasionally
  • Asset: experience in finite element calculations and dynamic structural analysis
  • Asset: hold the ASP Construction safety card (assistance available)
  • Asset: bilingual in English and French
