The University of Calgary invites applications for Sessional Instructors to teach DRAM 355: Introduction to Canadian Theatre and Drama in the Winter 2027 term. Courses run Jan 11–Apr 13, 2027, Web-based, synchronous format. Emphasis on IBPOC artists and Canadian theatre history.

Qualified applicants hold MA/MFA/PhD in Drama with relevant specialization, and have significant post-secondary teaching experience. Salary per collective agreement applies.

Qualifications

• Significant teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
• Experience with IBPOC theatre companies and communities is an asset.
• Knowledge of contemporary artistic practice and drama history is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach DRAM 355: Introduction to Canadian Theatre and Drama to undergraduate students.
• Deliver course content in a web-based, synchronous format (Tue/Thu 09:30–10:45).
• Assess student work and provide timely feedback in line with course objectives.
