The Canada and LATAM Demand and Replenishment Manager role is responsible for analyzing production and inventory data to ensure that the single plan approved through the Global Sales and Operation Planning (GS&OP) process is implemented at the manufacturing sites, ensuring completeness of the demand statement in SAP, analyzing demand and production plan data in support of business planning processes, supporting new launches and line extensions through master data setup, and ensuring master data quality.

The position also serves as the subject matter expert for Demand and Replenishment (D&R) processes at the affiliates and is responsible to ensure business processes are working properly, identifying and driving improvements on the execution of the demand management function. The role requires to work closely with the internal and external manufacturing sites within the network and with the affiliate Demand & replenishment Coordinators and Forecasting Team. This position is key to making medicines available to our patients at the right time.

Location:This is a hybrid role – onsite presence at our Toronto office will be 10 days or more per month (or at least 50% of the time), determined in collaboration with your manager and based on business needs.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

  • Support Affiliates with their Demand and Replenishment (D&R) Processes: P artner with Affiliates to ensure appropriate forecasting of Lilly products, following SCOpE principles. Influence both Affiliates and Manufacturing Sites, to support product being available to meet customer needs and sales goals, while minimizing risks of stockouts or obsolescence. Provide the necessary monitoring of sales and supply to proactively anticipate risks and propose mitigating actions.
  • Ensure completeness of demand statement in SAP supporting implementation of new Demand and Replenishment process and reviewing sales, forecast and supply reports. Interact with affiliate forecasters and Global Business Solutions teams to resolve identified issues. Provide technical expertise and coaching to customers at plant sites, affiliates, GBS, and others as appropriate.
  • Establish and monitor the GSC business processes that will implement planning and sourcing decisions in SAP, to support Affiliate Operation, Business Plan , S&OP process, dependent demand configuration, alternate demand planning, inventory targeting, product launches, insourcing/outsourcing, and other planning activities triggered by each product’s progress through its life cycle.
  • Monitor and analyze SCOpE metrics for discussion at the S&OP meetings and GSC forums and propose and implement solutions to identified issues to drive improvements.
  • Build functional expertise by engaging with the rest of the GSC Network, with members from other geographies, in order to build excellence in execution, defining best practices, offering consistency in processes to other stakeholders. Establish and troubleshoot replenishment planning through maintenance of master data.
  • Market Intelligence dissemination: Contribute to the definition, continuous improvement, and execution, of the processes that collect, interpret, and disseminate Market Intelligence from the Affiliates into the Manufacturing Organization. Examples include demand changes (internally or externally driven), business transformations, regulatory environment, launch plans, etc.
  • Manufacturing Intelligence evangelization: Understand and represent the opportunities and challenges of the Manufacturing organization, during structured interactions with Affiliates. Support them in assessing what manufacturing capabilities/capacities are available to ensure reliable product supply, as well as future perspectives. Advocate for OSSCE standards (Operational Standards for Supply Chain Excellence).
  • Backup of Supply Chain Operations in Canada.
  • Backup to lead small to medium-scale projects, line extension launches, and/or lead supply chain processes for late life cycle products.

Basic Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain experience with understanding of materials flows, demand management and manufacturing operations.
  • BS or MS degree in Materials Management, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or related field.

Additional Preferences:

  • Understanding of Supply Chain process and how they operate at a Manufacturing site, Affiliate & Global Business Solution Center. APICS certification welcome.
  • Expertise in SAP and associated manufacturing and planning systems. Understanding of Supply Chain processes and how they operate at a Manufacturing site, affiliate & Global business solution Center.
  • Experience working in an OSSCE A class environment. Knowledge of OSSCE (including auditing processes). Cross functional experience in areas such as Demand Realization, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Project Management and Planning: general understanding of the concepts and tools of project management.
  • Systems Use/Knowledge: strong computer-based skills, including basic understanding of data analytics.
  • Strong collaboration skills, active listening, team mindset. Ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Willingness and ability to teach and mentor others.
  • Fluency in English, and ideally 1-2 other regional languages.
  • Being physically located in Canada.
  • Experience working in an OSSCE environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP business transactions.
