Position Summary

A Self-Checkout Attendant assists customers in processing transactions through self-service areas and provides exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience and drive customer loyalty, while maintaining exemplary service by adhering to Walmart's Basic Beliefs and values.

What You'll Do

1. Keep the area clean and free of fixtures, debris, foreign objects, and liquids.
2. Educate customers on the correct and efficient use of self-service options.
3. Promote company programs such as credit card services, product protection, and charity initiatives.
4. Observe customer activities to determine when assistance is needed.
5. Explain the reasons for interventions or quality checks politely, reassuring customers that these are standard procedures.
6. Respond to EAS alarms and complete the "Failure to Deactivate" log.
7. Call the Customer Service Manager for cash shortages or technical issues in the self-service area.
8. Return Scan & Go scanners to their designated place after use.

Minimum Qualifications

Age - 16 or older.
