Walmart Canada is seeking a Self‑Checkout Attendant to support a positive shopping experience in the self‑checkout area, delivering friendly service and helping customers complete transactions.

You will maintain area standards, assist customers, promote Walmart programs, and respond to alerts, with opportunities for shift flexibility.

Based in Tsawwassen, BC, the role requires standing, lifting up to 20–50 lbs, and working evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Maintain Self Checkout Area Standards: Maintains a clean, safe, and organized self checkout area, ensuring it remains free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and spills.
• Promote Walmart Programs and Initiatives: Supports the promotion of company sponsored programs, including credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives, when applicable.
• Support Customers at Self Checkout: Helps customers use self checkout quickly and confidently by offering assistance when needed, monitoring activity, and completing required checks. Clearly explain any interventions in a friendly, reassuring way and escalates cash or technical issues to the Customer Service Manager.
• Respond to EAS Alerts and Complete Documentation: Responds to EAS alarms in accordance with procedures and accurately completes the “Failure to Deactivate” log.
• Manage Scan & Go Equipment: Ensures Scan & Go scanners are returned to their designated storage locations after use.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule): Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

• Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
