Position Summary

Working as a Self-Checkout Attendant at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. What you'll do

1. Keep the area neat, clean, and organized, free of fixtures, debris, foreign objects, and liquids.
2. Educate customers on the correct and efficient use of self-service options, when applicable.
3. Promote company sponsor programs, such as credit card services, product protection, and charity initiatives, when applicable.
4. Observe customer activities to determine when assistance is needed.
5. Politely explain the reasons for interventions or quality checks, reassuring customers that these are normal protocol.
6. Respond to EAS alarms and complete the 'Failure to Deactivate' Log.
7. Call the Customer Service Manager for technical issues or when the cash in the self-service area is low.
8. Return Scan & Go scanners to their designated place after use.

The minimum pay for this position starts at $16.15, with the rate determined based on relevant experience.
