Working as a Self-Checkout Attendant at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. What you'll do...

1. Keep the area neat, clean, and organized, free of fixtures, debris, foreign objects, and liquids.
2. Educate customers on the correct and efficient use of self-service options, when applicable.
3. Promote company sponsor programs, such as credit card services, product protection, and charity initiatives, when applicable.
4. Observe customer activities to determine when assistance is needed.
5. Politely explain reasons for interventions or quality checks, reassuring customers that these are standard procedures.
6. Respond to EAS alarms and complete the "Failure to Deactivate" Log.
7. Notify the Customer Service Manager of low cash levels or technical issues in the self-service area.
8. Return Scan & Go scanners to their designated location after use.
