Position Summary...

The Relief Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations.

What you'll do...

1. Ensure excellent patient experience and assist customers in locating merchandise on the sales floor.
2. Establish and develop strong working relationships with Professional Services District Managers and stakeholders.
3. Accept prescriptions and refill requests from customers, doctors, or hospitals.
4. Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely, and counsel patients on pharmaceutical products.
5. Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
6. Follow established workflows and SOPs to execute processes.
7. Operate pharmacy equipment such as registers and computer systems.
8. Protect patient privacy and adhere to provincial regulations.
9. Provide eligible services like medication reviews and injections to meet patient needs.
10. Travel to various locations as per schedule set by the Relief program coordinator.
11. Develop collaborative relationships with healthcare providers within the store and community.

Minimum Qualifications...

Must be 16 or older and possess a Pharmacist License. An optional permit in Alberta (CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization) is secondary.
