Summary of Responsibilities

The relief pharmacist assists the pharmacy manager in all aspects of pharmacy operations. Responsibilities include managing, supporting, and embodying the company's core values of respect, customer service, and excellence. Use your knowledge and skills to meet patients' medication needs, provide patient-centered care in collaboration with patients and healthcare professionals, and aim to improve health outcomes or maintain/enhance patients' quality of life. Maintain provincial licensure, comply with current pharmacy laws and regulations, obtain necessary certifications or credits, and practice ethically and professionally. Determine, evaluate, interpret, and dispense appropriate medications, provide education and promote health while respecting patient confidentiality. Ensure practice standards are met when distributing medications in collaboration with designated pharmacy managers.

Minimum Skills
  • Age: 16 or older
  • License: Pharmacist License (secondary permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
