Summary of functions...

The relief pharmacist assists the pharmacy manager in all aspects of pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities include managing, supporting, and embodying the company's core values of respect, customer service, and excellence. Use your knowledge and skills to meet patient medication needs, provide patient-centered care in collaboration with patients and healthcare professionals to achieve positive health outcomes or maintain/improve quality of life. Maintain your provincial license, comply with current laws and regulations, and obtain necessary certifications or credits, including scope of practice activities. Practice in accordance with legal and ethical principles, demonstrate integrity, and uphold professional standards. Determine, evaluate, interpret, and provide appropriate medication and pharmaceutical practice to ensure safe and effective patient care. Communicate and educate to promote health while respecting patient confidentiality. Collaborate with designated pharmacy managers to ensure practice compliance with medication distribution expectations.

Minimum skills...

Age - 16 or older
License - Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
