Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Relief Pharmacist in Stephenville, NL to support Pharmacy operations and ensure high-quality patient care. You will accept prescriptions, fill accurately, counsel patients, and maintain proper storage of medicines while following OBWs/SOPs.

The role requires travel to various locations as part of the Relief program, strong collaboration with healthcare providers, and vigilance for patient privacy and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Accept prescriptions and/or refill requests from Customers, Doctors or Hospitals.
• Fill prescriptions accurately, efficiently, and safely and counsel patients on medications.
• Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
• Operate all pharmacy equipment and protect patient privacy in line with provincial regulations.
• Provide eligible services (medication reviews, injections) as required.
• Travel to various locations per Relief program and follow schedules.
• Develop collaborative relationships with health care providers within the store (clinics, Vision Centre, community).

Position Summary…

The Relief Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager and the Staff Pharmacist in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations.

What you’ll do…

Ensure excellent patient experience, locate merchandise on the sales floor.

Establish and develop a strong working relationship with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders.

Accept prescriptions and/or refill requests from Customers, Doctors or Hospitals.

Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely using the established workflow models and counsel all patients on sold pharmaceutical products.

Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.

Execute processes as per OBWs/SOPs.

Ability to operate all equipment in the pharmacy (register, computer system etc.). Protect and maintain patient privacy at all times and follow provincial regulations established by the regulatory body. Ensure patients receive all eligible services they are entitled to (medication reviews, injections etc.) to meet specific patient needs. Must follow OBW regulations as per the Relief Pharmacist program. Must travel to various locations and follow the schedules set by the Relief program coordinator. Develop and establish a collaborative relationships with other health care providers within the store (clinics, Vision Centre, their community etc.)

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $64.50/hr. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
