Job description

Position Summary: The Relief Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations.

What you'll do:

1. Ensure excellent patient experience and locate merchandise on the sales floor.
2. Establish and develop strong working relationships with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders.
3. Accept prescriptions and refill requests from Customers, Doctors, or Hospitals.
4. Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely using established workflow models, and counsel all patients on pharmaceutical products.
5. Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
6. Execute processes according to OBWs/SOPs.
7. Operate all pharmacy equipment (register, computer systems, etc.).
8. Protect and maintain patient privacy at all times, following provincial regulations.
9. Ensure patients receive all eligible services (medication reviews, injections, etc.) to meet specific needs.
10. Follow OBW regulations as per the Relief Pharmacist program.
11. Travel to various locations and follow schedules set by the Relief program coordinator.
12. Develop collaborative relationships with other healthcare providers within the store (clinics, Vision Centre, community, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications:

Age: 16 or older

License: Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
