Position Summary

The Relief Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in all aspects of pharmacy operations.

What you'll do

1. Ensure excellent patient experience and locate merchandise on the sales floor.
2. Establish and develop strong working relationships with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders.
3. Accept prescriptions and refill requests from customers, doctors, or hospitals.
4. Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely, and counsel patients on pharmaceutical products.
5. Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
6. Execute processes according to OBWs/SOPs.
7. Operate pharmacy equipment (register, computer systems, etc.).
8. Protect patient privacy and follow provincial regulations.
9. Provide eligible services (medication reviews, injections, etc.) to meet patient needs.
10. Travel to various locations as per schedule set by the Relief program coordinator.
11. Develop collaborative relationships with other healthcare providers within the store and community.

Minimum Qualifications

Pharmacist license (secondary permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization). No other minimum qualifications are listed.
