Summary of Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Assistant assists the Pharmacist in prescription filling and administrative duties to support patient care. They participate in pharmacy operations and deliver excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

1. Receive and evaluate patient prescriptions according to regulations, prioritize orders.
2. Perform computer functions under pharmacist supervision, including data entry, verification, and interpretation of prescriptions.
3. Fill prescriptions, select and prepare products, label and organize for pharmacist verification, and handle verbal refill approvals.
4. Maintain stock control, assist with inventory management, and ensure the pharmacy environment is clean and organized.
5. Perform administrative tasks such as filing prescriptions, invoices, and reports, and support store operations as assigned.
