The Pharmacy Assistant assists the Pharmacist in the technical aspects of prescription filling and administrative duties to increase the Pharmacist's opportunity to provide patient care. They participate in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations and are key in delivering superior customer service.

Responsibilities include:

1. Receiving and evaluating patient prescriptions according to regulatory requirements, including verifying completeness and prioritizing orders.
2. Performing computer functions such as data entry, verification, and updating patient information under pharmacist supervision.
3. Filling prescriptions, selecting appropriate products, verifying accuracy, and preparing for pharmacist review.
4. Maintaining stock control, checking for expired medications, ordering supplies, and organizing pharmacy inventory.
5. Handling administrative tasks like filing prescriptions, invoices, and reports, and assisting in store operations as assigned.

The pay range for this position is $17.60 - $23.10/hr, determined by experience.

Minimum skills: Age 16 or older.
