The Pharmacy Assistant assists the Pharmacist in the technical aspects of prescription filling and administrative duties to support patient care. They participate in all pharmacy operations and deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Receiving and evaluating patient prescriptions according to regulations, including verifying patient information and prioritizing prescriptions.
  2. Performing computer functions as directed by the pharmacist, such as data entry, verifying prices, updating patient information, interpreting prescriptions, and processing renewals.
  3. Filling prescriptions under supervision, selecting appropriate products, verifying accuracy, labeling, and preparing for pharmacist review.
  4. Maintaining stock control, managing medication levels, removing expired medications, and ordering supplies.
  5. Storing supplies, keeping the pharmacy clean and organized, and maintaining equipment.
  6. Handling administrative tasks such as filing prescriptions, invoices, reports, and correspondence.
  7. Assisting with PVL operations, stocking, and cashier duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Skills:

Age 16 or older.
