Job summary

Walmart Canada in Napanee, ON is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to deliver friendly, thorough service while maintaining and organizing the Bakery and Deli areas. You will assist with stocking, labeling, and helping customers find items, ensuring product shelves are clean, signed, and properly priced.

This entry-level role requires age 16 or older and pays at least the posted hourly rate. You will follow food-safety standards, rotate stock, handle temperatures, and help prepare deli and bakery

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure quality and visual appearance.
• Follows proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.

Position Summary…

A Deli Bakery Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the Bakery and/or Deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.

What you’ll do…

4. Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
   5. Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
5. Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
   7. Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
   8. Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.40.
