Job summary

PCI Pharma Services is recruiting for a Packaging Operator in Mississauga, Canada. The role involves following SOPs and GMP practices, performing manual packaging tasks for clinical and commercial products, and ensuring quality and accuracy throughout production.

The position requires attention to detail, ability to work with ERP systems, and readiness for overtime/weekend shifts. Standard hours are 37.5 per week with night shifts Sunday and Thursday night into Monday morning.

• Identifies quality issues and informs Line Leader/Shift Lead/Production Manager.
• May assist Quality Assurance with in-process inspections.
• Uses Tropo's ERP system to sign into production orders and track man hours.
• Cleans and maintains packaging room; may require overtime and weekend work.

Job Description

• Understands and adheres to SOP requirements, GMP practices and job specific packaging procedures.
• Reads and understands packaging procedures prior to each job.
• Performs a variety of manual tasks associated with the packaging of pharmaceutical products for both clinical and commercial jobs.
• Monitors production output for quality and accuracy.
• Counts product and confirms issued quantities.
• Undertakes a detailed inspection of labels and foils for print correctness, sequencing of numbers, expiry dates, lot numbers, legibility of print, alignment of print, properly formed foil blisters, etc.
• Identifies quality issues or concerns and brings these to the attention of the Line Leader, Shift Lead and/or Production Manager for appropriate action.
• Lends assistance to Quality Assurance with regards to in-process inspection if/as required.
• May assist in picking materials for job runs.
• Uses Tropo's ERP system accurately to electronically sign into production orders to track man hours.
• Cleans and maintains packaging room as required throughout the week.
• This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
• Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
• Attendance to work is an essential function of this position.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Standard Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Weekly Shift Timing

Monday through Thursdays: 11:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Sundays: 10:15 PM - 7:00 AM
