Job summary

Novolex is seeking an Operations Assistant at our Montreal area facility to support the line by assisting the operator with daily tasks, assembling pumps, and upholding standard operating procedures. You will complete required shift documents and help maintain the production area, pallets, and box rental workflow.

The role offers hands-on training, exposure to packaging manufacturing processes, and opportunities for professional development within a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the operator with operations
• Assemble pumps and perform cleaning tasks
• Follow standard operating procedures (operational parameters)
• Properly complete documents during your shift: press log by order produced, lab sheet, tally sheet for finished roll shipments, requisition and green ticket if applicable, hourly efficiency control chart, and calculate the efficiency percentages for your daily shift
• Maintain the mezzanine, box storage area, etc.
• Handle wooden pallets and empty waste bins on casters
• Box the packages, palletize the boxes, and implement the box rental system
• Keep pace with the operator’s production rate
• Any other related tasks
