Job Summary

The Maintenance Millwright is responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and tooling to meet key performance indicators such as OEE, PPM, Productivity, On-Time Delivery, and Scrap.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate equipment/tooling operation, troubleshoot, analyze issues, determine root cause, implement solutions, and verify effectiveness.
  2. Perform preventative maintenance as required.
  3. Install new equipment, tooling, racking, services (air & nitrogen supply), etc.
  4. Perform tooling changeovers, material changes, and ensure process quality.
  5. Fabricate fixtures, tooling, or equipment as needed.
  6. Support/implement/sustain DOS activities like 5S, SMED, Standardized Work, TPM, and Process Readiness.
  7. Address corrective actions or improvements related to process or workplace safety.
  8. Ensure personal and team safety at all times.
  9. Serve on the Emergency and Spills Response Team.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Secondary school diploma or GED; certification as a Millwright in Ontario.
  2. 3-5 years maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  3. Experience with light-assembly, stamping, leak-testing, brazing, PLCs.
  4. Knowledge of safety procedures in manufacturing.
  5. Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts like 5S, SMED, etc.
  6. Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.
  7. Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) and good communication skills.
  8. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  9. Reliable attendance record.
  10. Ability to learn quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  12. Experience with shop tools.
  13. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Notes

Must meet physical requirements for operating tow-motors and material handling equipment, including visual and manual dexterity skills.

Must complete safety tow-motor license within the trial period.
