Position Summary... Working as a Meat Associate at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. A Meat Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the meat area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods. What you'll do...

1. Zone the department.
2. Rotate stock and check for expired products.
3. Ensure merchandise is properly signed and priced.
4. Adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibration, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
5. Take orders for Deli Department merchandise; slice and prepare merchandise such as meat, cheese, fried chicken; and provide requested assistance.
6. Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
7. Prepare deli food orders, including meat, cheese, utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils; prepare chicken using rotisserie oven and deep fryer; and fill prepared salads and side dishes for display and customer orders.
8. Follow Health and Safety guidelines.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $17.85. The rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
