Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Meat Associate to provide exemplary customer service, maintain the meat area, and assist with stocking and the sale of goods. You will help zone the department and ensure products are properly signed, priced, and rotated from the Saint John store location.

Responsibilities include following cold chain procedures, calibrating thermometers, and upholding health and safety standards while preparing deli items and assisting customers with orders.

• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; slices and prepares merchandise, such as meat, cheese, fried chicken; and provides requested assistance.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
• Prepares deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers ,stackers, and other utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven and deep fryer; and fills prepared salads and side dishes for placement into display area and specialty orders from Customers as required.
• Follows Health and Safety guidelines.

Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $16.35.
