Job summary

Walmart Canada in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC is seeking a Meat Associate to support the meat department, provide exemplary customer service and assist with stocking and display. You will zone the department, rotate stock, check dates, ensure accurate signage and pricing, and follow health and safety guidelines to maintain quality and compliance.

The role may involve deli preparation using slicers, rotisserie ovens, and fryers for prepared meats and salads.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department.
• Rotates stock and checking for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; slices and prepares merchandise, such as meat, cheese, fried chicken; and provides requested assistance.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
• Prepares deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers ,stackers, and other utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven and deep fryer; and fills prepared salads and side dishes for placement into display area and specialty orders from Customers as required.
• Follows Health and Safety guidelines.
