• Ensure Accurate Pricing and Signing: verify merchandise is signed and priced; follow procedures for ordering, clearance, signings, and labeling.
• Follow Food Safety and Cold Chain Practices: adhere to food safety standards, temperature checks, proper handling, and date compliance.
• Prepare and Serve Deli Products: take orders and prepare deli items (meat, cheese, fried chicken) using slicers and appliances.
• Health and Safety Compliance: follow health and safety guidelines and company policies for a safe workplace.
• Flexibility: be open to evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed by the business.

What you’ll do

• Maintain Department Organisation and Standards: Keep the department clean, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is customer-ready at all times; Rotate stock regularly and remove expired or unsellable products.
• Ensure Accurate Pricing and Signing: Ensure all merchandise is correctly signed and priced. Follow established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
• Follow Food Safety and Cold Chain Practices: Adhere to food safety and cold chain standards, including temperature checks, thermometer calibration, proper food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration date compliance.
• Prepare and Serve Deli Products: Take customer orders and prepare deli items such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken. Use slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, deep fryers, and other tools safely to prepare food, fill display cases, and complete special customer orders.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all Health and Safety guidelines and Company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic work environment.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule): Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.
