Position Summary

What you'll do

1. Zone the department.
2. Rotate stock and check for expired products.
3. Ensure merchandise is properly signed and priced.
4. Adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, and managing sell-by and expiration dates.
5. Take orders for Deli Department merchandise; slice and prepare items such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken; provide requested assistance.
6. Follow procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
7. Prepare deli food orders, including meat, cheese, using slicers, stackers, and other utensils; prepare chicken using rotisserie oven and deep fryer; fill salads and side dishes for display and customer orders.
8. Follow health and safety guidelines.

The starting pay for this position is $18.30 per hour, with the rate determined based on relevant experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Age - 16 or older.
