Position Summary: This is a fixed-term 13 months contract position.

The Manager, Specialty Compliance and Ethics is responsible for ensuring that Walmart's policies, products, and services meet both internal and external legal requirements. This role involves managing compliance and ethics consistency, addressing compliance concerns, developing legislation assessment strategies, and supporting corporate positions on various issues. It also includes ensuring quality pharmacy services, managing trade compliance, and ensuring food safety in logistics facilities and the transportation network.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage the consistency of compliance and ethics, respond to questions, and monitor laws and regulations.
  • Research laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; draft and update policies and SOPs with leadership input.
  • Identify, report, and address compliance concerns; develop strategies for compliance gaps.
  • Manage legislation assessment strategies, investigate proposed legislation, and develop adaptation plans.
  • Support the development of corporate positions by researching and refining messages.
  • Ensure quality pharmacy services through technical expertise and compliance management.
  • Manage trade compliance for imports and exports to/from Canada.
  • Drive and enforce food safety performance, especially in distribution centers and transportation, by designing risk-based programs.

Qualifications:

  • BSc in food science or microbiology preferred; 5+ years industry experience; HACCP designation.
  • Excellent communication skills; proficiency in KPI analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of digital advertising platforms and analytical tools.

Good To Have:

  • Certified food safety professional, food defense designation.
  • Experience with risk management, compliance, and project management frameworks.

Minimum Qualifications:

Age 16 or older.
