A leading company is seeking a Supply Chain Designer to optimize their end-to-end supply chain. This role involves developing strategic network designs, analyzing capital investments, and collaborating with multiple teams to enhance logistics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering or computer science and experience with Python. Join a dynamic team committed to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
This role is responsible for designing and supporting the approval of an efficient end-to-end supply chain. The role ensures the supply chain meets evolving customer needs while maintaining low operational costs.
This role creates a long-term aspirational view of the network design and capacity models. A strategy detailing where, when, and how the network should be designed to support a 5-year forecast of Omnichannel business volumes is required. Mastery of existing or newly designed tools is essential for optimizing the network.
The role may analyze alternatives to capital investment, assessing impacts on supply chain stakeholders. Key metrics such as total volume throughput, average case value, transportation costs, and distribution center capacities are critical. The role also develops a dynamic network capacity model, recommending the location and timing of new or expanded distribution and fulfillment centers.
This role may develop annual inventory plans and volume forecasts, working closely with Logistics, eCommerce, Replenishment, Merchandising, and Finance teams. Analysis of dollar inventory budgets, space requirements, and engineering fit tests are part of the responsibilities. The role coordinates with service providers to consolidate key variables, incorporating new merchandising and flow strategies into the volume forecast.
Supporting business case development and executive presentations for logistics infrastructure projects is also part of this role. Developing heuristic and advanced dynamic models to emulate distribution and fulfillment center capacities and providing creative solutions for capacity breaches are essential. The role supports and drives approved recommendations to implementation.
