Job summary

Walmart Canada in Mississauga, ON is seeking a skilled Industrial Millwright to maintain and repair automated warehouse systems. You will perform preventative maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and building systems, interpret blueprints, and support safety and compliance.

This union-represented position requires a Red Seal license, 18+ years old, and the ability to work in a team. The hourly rate starts at CAD 48.09, with opportunity to grow in a large retail logistics operation.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Industrial Millwright license required for industrial millwrights.
• Age 18 or older and ability to work in a union environment.
• Experience with repair and preventive maintenance in automated environments.

Responsibilities

• Repair building equipment including conveyors, HVAC units, and related systems.
• Repair material handling equipment such as overhead doors and dock plates.
• Interpret electrical, mechanical, and structural blueprints.
• Promote health and safety in a team environment.
• Follow procedures and manufacturer guidelines with quality and compliance.
• Work in accordance with provincial laws, training, and company procedures.

Job description

Position Summary...

Responsible for the repair and preventative maintenance of automated conveying systems and support operations in all aspects of an automated environment. Responsibilities include maintenance, troubleshooting, construction and installation of warehouse facilities including electrical, mechanical, building automation, HVAC, fire alarm, and UPS systems.This is a union represented position.

What you'll do...

• Repair building equipment including: conveyor system, hydrogen system HVAC units, garbage compacting equipment, fire doors, emergency generator, fire pumps, etc.
• Repair material handling equipment including; overhead doors, dock plates, trailer restrains, battery chargers, battery change equipment, etc.
• Blueprint interpretation, including; electrical, mechanical, and structural.
• Commitment to promoting Health and Safety in a team environment
• Understand and effectively follow all procedures, policies including those established by the equipment manufacturer
• Performance of all duties in accordance with Provincial laws, training and company procedures
• Strong knowledge of lock out/tag out procedures
• Maintaining productivity and hygiene standards in accordance with policy

The rate of pay for this position starts from $48.09/hr.
