Job description

Position Title: Release Train Engineer

Duration: 6 months Contract (Potential for extension, Conversion Possible)

Schedule: Mon to Fri – core business hours

Work Location: Toronto, ON

Work Type: Hybrid - 2 days per week, flexible on the days

Pay Range: C$100 - C$110/Hr

Summary:
  • Facilitates release processes, coordination, and execution.
  • Escalates impediments, manages risk, ensures value delivery, and drives continuous improvement.
  • Participates in transformation initiatives, coaching leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in new processes and mindsets required for agility.
  • Leads, coordinates, and coaches multiple Agile teams for the Next Evolution of Work (NEW). The Release Train Engineer II is responsible for overseeing, coaching, and training a team of professionals assigned to Agile teams.

Your key objectives include:

  • Manage and optimize the flow of value through ARTs using tools like Kanban and information radiators.
  • Establish and communicate Program Increments (PIs), facilitate PI Readiness, System Demos, PI Planning, and Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings.
  • Coordinate features deployment on the Agile Release Train considering dependencies, order, and architecture.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a regular cadence of interactions.
  • Conduct daily standups with the Pod, execute, and deliver work.
  • Manage day-to-day delivery from start to finish, translating tasks from project to IT delivery.
Must Have:
  • Experience as RTE
  • Project Management experience
  • IT background
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills
Nice to Have:
  • PMP certification
  • Experience with application Colibra (ideally)
  • Liquidity or treasury experience
Job Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of experience as a Coach, Product Manager, or Scrum Master. Certified SAFE RTE or SPC, or CSM.
  • Experience with Agile Management tools (2-4 years).
  • Experience coaching multiple Agile teams (2-4 years).
Notes:
  • IT, RTE, and PM experience preferred.
  • End-to-end delivery experience in a lead role required.
  • Application lead experience within IT is a plus.
