Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a dependable Grocery Associate in Laval to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a clean, organized, and well-zoned grocery department. You will support stocking and sales activities and help ensure the store is always ready for customers.

Key duties include keeping the department tidy, rotating stock, maintaining accurate pricing and signage, enforcing food safety and sanitation standards, and assisting with modular displays and shelf changes.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the grocery department clean, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is customer-ready at all times.
• Rotates merchandise regularly and removes expired or damaged products to maintain freshness and quality.
• Ensures merchandise is correctly signed and priced. Follows established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
• Follows food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
• Ensures the department is fully stocked and ready for business by stocking merchandise and picks, completing downstocking as required, applying product protection when needed, and setting and completing modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Follows all Health and Safety guidelines and Company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace.
• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.
• Manages overnight hours effectively and planning accordingly to stay energized and focused.
• Generally handles a fast-paced workload with efficiency, ensuring large volumes of restocking and recovery are completed accurately and on time.
