Job summary

Walmart Canada in Greenwood, NS is looking for a Grocery Associate to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment, keep the grocery area clean and well zoned, and support stocking and sales to ensure a positive shopping experience.

You will maintain department standards, rotate stock, ensure pricing and signing accuracy, follow food safety procedures, stock and modular execution, and comply with health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the grocery department clean, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is customer‑ready at all times.
• Rotates merchandise regularly and removes expired or damaged products to maintain freshness and quality.
• Ensures merchandise is correctly signed and priced. Follows established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
• Follows food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
• Ensures the department is fully stocked and ready for business by stocking merchandise and picks, completing downstocking as required, applying product protection when needed, and setting and completing modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Follows all Health and Safety guidelines and Company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard‑free workplace.
• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.

• Effectively manages work hours and plans ahead to maintain energy and focus throughout the shift.
