Job summary

Walmart Canada in Yorkton, SK is seeking a General Merchandise Associate to deliver friendly customer service and keep the sales floor organized. You will assist customers, stock shelves, and support merchandising and recovery across general merchandise areas.

You will cover floor shifts, help with Front End coverage when needed, and maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance. The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Provides friendly and professional customer service by greeting customers, assisting with product selection, promoting products and services, helping locate merchandise, supporting purchase decisions, and resolving or referring customer concerns as needed.
• Covers assigned areas of the sales floor and assists with Front End coverage when required. Communicates with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained and customer needs are met.
• Zones assigned areas to maintain a clean and organized sales floor. Moves feature merchandise to its modular location and processes recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas of the store.
• Stocks merchandise and picks, completes downstocking as required, applies product protection when needed, and sets and completes modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and hazard‑free work environment by following Company policies and procedures, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
• High task volume in a fast-paced environment; effectively manages overnight hours and long shifts to stay energized and focused.
• Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
