Position Summary
To support the Store Manager and manage store operations according to Company guidelines and lead Associates to ensure friendly, helpful service and drive profitable store sales.
What You'll Do
- Drive profitable sales through achievement of sales and profit goals, budget management, and sales forecasts. Analyze sales/financial reports, economic trends, and community needs to respond to market changes while controlling expenditures. Communicate sales results to associates and guide interpretation of results.
- Create operational plans with the Management Team; prioritize, delegate, and provide clear direction to Managers and Associates. Ensure optimal store conditions through effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, and store standards within Company policies. Implement new store programs and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Monitor asset protection and safety controls; maintain quality assurance standards; oversee safety and operational reviews, ensuring compliance with Walmart policies and procedures, including safety, security, sales, financial, and record-keeping practices.
- Serve Customers as an ambassador by greeting customers, seeking feedback, and resolving customer needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines to ensure a positive shopping experience. Model and enforce friendly and helpful customer service approaches.
- Support store initiatives to serve the community by participating in community events and building relationships with key community groups. Engage in company-sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts.
- Lead Associates through regular store meetings, communicate operational directions, drive engagement, recognize accomplishments, and provide growth opportunities. Develop all associates and identify high-potential individuals for training and development.
- Demonstrate Company values by providing timely, honest, and respectful performance feedback and managing relationships with supporting functions like District HR Managers.
- Handle merchandise responsibly, including items like alcohol, ammunition, narcotics, and high-ticket items, ensuring appropriate cash controls, handling up to two hundred fifty thousand dollars daily.
Minimum Qualifications
Age – 16 or older.
