Job summary

Walmart Canada in Saint-Bruno is seeking a Food & Consumables team member to assist in leading the department, address problems, and coach associates through teaching and training. You will maintain high customer service levels while ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.

You will plan department activities, coordinate priorities with the Food & Consumables Coach and Store Management, and assist on the sales floor as needed. merchandising, safety, and team communication are emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
• Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the Food & Consumables Coach and the Store Management Team. Delegate, assist and follow-up on completion of daily Customer Availability process tasks.
• Assesses the overall presentation of Food & Consumables Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required.
• Ensure strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift, and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity.
• Review completed schedules with People Lead.
• Assign Associates to support coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.
• Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to validate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.
• Complete GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management
• Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for Associates. Supports recruiting and hiring new associates.
