Walmart Canada in Candiac, QC is seeking a leader to assist in Food and Consumables, respond to inquiries, and train associates while ensuring high customer service and smooth task completion. The role involves directing department activities, coordinating schedules, and supporting the store management team on a daily basis.

The position starts at a minimum hourly rate and requires strong communication, merchandising, and safety discipline to maintain a productive, customer-focused environment.

• Review schedules with People Lead and assign associates for coverage across store areas.
• Identify training opportunities during store tours and develop associates through teaching and feedback.
• Support safety by following policies, completing safety logs, and maintaining clean, hazard-free displays.
• Complete GTA/Workday tasks and support management.
• Assist with recruitment and growth conversations for associates.

Position Summary…

Assists in the leadership of the Food and Consumable areas and department processes, respond to problems and inquiries and develop associates through teaching and training. Ensure a high level of customer service while ensuring task completion.
Plans and executes department activities based on workload and operational functions and assists on the salesfloor as required.

What you’ll do…

1. Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
2. Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the Food & Consumables Coach and the Store Management Team. Delegate, assist and follow-up on completion of daily Customer Availability process tasks.
3. Assesses the overall presentation of Food & Consumables Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required.
4. Ensure strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift, and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity.
5. Review completed schedules with People Lead.
6. Assign Associates to support coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.
7. Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to validate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.
8. Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.
9. Complete GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management
10. Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for Associates. Supports recruiting and hiring new associates.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $21.85.
