Job summary

Walmart Canada in Courtenay, BC is hiring a Food and Consumables Associate to provide exemplary customer service while maintaining the food and consumables area and assisting with stocking and sales.

You will zone shelves, rotate stock, ensure correct signage and pricing, and follow cold chain, thermometer calibration and food safety standards. The minimum hourly rate starts at CAD 18.40.

What You'll Do

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.40.
