Position Summary

To support the Store Manager and manage store operations according to Company guidelines and lead Associates to ensure friendly, helpful service and drive profitable store sales.

What You'll Do
  1. Drive profitable sales through achievement of sales and profit goals, budget management, and sales forecasts. Analyze sales/financial reports, economic trends, and community needs to identify and respond to market changes while controlling expenditures. Communicate sales results to associates and guide interpretation of results.
  2. Create operational plans with the Management Team; prioritize, delegate, and provide clear direction to Managers and Associates. Ensure optimal store conditions through effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, and store standards within Company policies. Implement new store programs, evaluate their effectiveness, and adapt as needed. Cross-train as needed across store areas.
  3. Execute and monitor asset protection and safety controls; maintain quality assurance standards; oversee safety and operational reviews, ensuring compliance with Walmart policies, safety, security, sales, financial, and record-keeping procedures. Proactively address compliance issues.
  4. Serve Customers as an ambassador by greeting customers, seeking feedback, and resolving issues within Company guidelines to create a positive shopping experience. Model and enforce friendly customer service approaches.
  5. Support store initiatives to serve the community by participating in events and building relationships with community groups. Engage in company programs, sustainability efforts, and community involvement.
  6. Lead Associates through regular meetings, communicate operational directions, recognize achievements, and foster professional growth. Develop high-potential employees through training and development.
  7. Demonstrate Company values by providing timely, honest, and respectful performance feedback, and managing relationships with supporting functions like HR.
  8. Handle merchandise responsibly, including items like alcohol, ammunition, narcotics, and high-ticket items, ensuring appropriate cash controls for transactions up to $250,000 per day.

Must be 16 or older.
