Job summary

Walmart Canada in Calgary, AB is seeking a Warehouse Associate to help receive freight into the distribution center. You will unload freight, verify product and count, and move shipments to the correct department.

This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, wearing steel-toed safety shoes from day one, and following health, safety and housekeeping policies. The position starts at $26.40 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly up to 10 hours per day.
• Steel-toed safety shoes/boots required from day one.
• Other PPE may be required and will be provided.

• Cutting shrink wrap off of shipment skids, verify contents and match the label to the product
• Assembling pallets according to Ti/Hi and other specifications
• Transporting freight to various departments
• Completing paperwork accurately and as required to ensure timely receiving procedures
• Maintain associate programs and safety/housekeeping policies in line with legislation and company policy

• Maintain associate related programs and procedures, including health and safety and housekeeping programs in order to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation and company policy.

Position Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly up to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to have steel toed safety shoes/boots for first day.
• Other safety personal protective gear may be required as appropriate and will be provided.

The rate of pay for this position starts from $26.40/hr.
