Job summary

Walmart in Bolton, ON is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate to provide exemplary customer service and help maintain the Bakery and Deli areas. You will rotate stock, ensure shelves are clean and properly signed, and assist with customer orders in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include preparing deli and bakery items, following food-safety standards, and ensuring cold-chain compliance. You will also help with ordering, pricing updates, and display maintenance as part of daily

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location.
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
