Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate in Peace River, AB. You’ll deliver exemplary customer service while maintaining the Bakery and Deli zones, stock, and displays to ensure shelves are organized and accurately signed and priced.

You’ll handle food preparation tasks across Deli and Bakery departments, follow safety and temperature controls, rotate stock and assist with customer requests. This entry‑level role starts at $17.45 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organized and product is in the correct location
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls
• Follows proper procedures for Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels
